Daili

Privacy Policy

Draft as of October 16, 2026

This is an early, good-faith first draft written in-house by the Daili team — it has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and is not final. We are publishing it now, before Daili Intelligence OÜ is fully registered, because we would rather be upfront about our intended terms than leave nothing here at all. Expect this document to change, possibly materially, once legal review is complete.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Daili collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Daili is built around a simple commitment from our product philosophy: privacy and ownership by default, no selling or exploiting your personal data, and no advertising, ever.

1. Who we are

Daili is built and operated by the individual(s) currently establishing Daili Intelligence OÜ, a private limited company (osaühing) to be registered under the laws of the Republic of Estonia (“Daili Intelligence,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Estonian e-Residency for this purpose has been approved; company registration itself is still in progress as of the date below. Once registration is complete, Daili Intelligence OÜ will be the contracting party for this document, and this section will be updated to reflect the company's registry details.

2. Information we collect

Account information: your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the name, email, and profile picture Google shares with us.

Content you create: your tasks, goals, routines, categories, diary entries, and any notes or context you give the assistant (“Memory”). Some of this, especially Diary and Memory content, can be personal and sensitive by nature — we treat it accordingly, as described below.

Usage information: which features you use and how (for example, that a plan was applied or a task was completed), your locale and timezone, and, if you signed up through an invite, the inviter's code.

Voice: Daili's microphone button uses your browser's speech recognition. Depending on your browser, this may send your voice to your browser's provider to be turned into text. Where your browser lets Daili ask for it and speech recognition for your language is already installed on your device, Daili asks for that instead. Daili does not receive or store the audio, only the text you choose to add.

Cookies: Daili sets some small cookies, only so the app works. They keep you signed in, remember your choices (color mode, language, collapsed navigation, the day you pick in Theme, and that you have seen the microphone note), and save your timezone so the day's color changes at your own midnight. On a first visit, before your timezone is saved, we use the approximate timezone your connection suggests, and we do not store it. When you sign in with Google, a cookie remembers the page you wanted for 10 minutes. If you try the demo on the home page, a cookie with a random code lets us count the free questions you have asked. Unsent text stays in this browser until it is added, you remove it or you sign out. Things you've written but not yet sent (tasks, diary entries and memory notes) wait on your device until they are sent. Your pick for the entry box's main button (add, help or ask) is remembered in this browser, even after you sign out.

We do not currently collect precise location, and we don't use tracking cookies or advertising identifiers of any kind.

3. How we use information

We use your information to provide and personalize the Service: to show your tasks and plans back to you, to let the AI assistant generate relevant suggestions, to keep your account secure, and to understand at an aggregate level which parts of Daili are actually useful so we can improve them. We do not use your content to serve you ads, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any reason.

4. How the AI assistant uses your data

When you use an AI-assisted feature, the relevant parts of your account (such as your current tasks, goals, or a Diary entry you're asking Daili to act on) are sent, over an encrypted connection, to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate the response you've asked for. This happens server-side; the AI provider is not given more of your data than a given feature needs. See our AI-Interaction Disclosure page for a fuller explanation of how this works and what it means for you.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run Daili, under terms that limit what they can do with it: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Anthropic (the AI model behind Daili's assistant features, as described above), and Vercel (application hosting). We don't share your information with data brokers, advertisers, or anyone else for marketing purposes, and we'd need a valid legal process (like a court order) before sharing it with a government authority.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and its associated data at any time from Account settings (“Delete my account”) — this cannot be undone. If you'd like a copy of your data, you can download one at any time from Account (“Download a copy of my data”). If you have questions about what we hold, email us at privacy@daili.co.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain uses of it. You can exercise most of these rights directly in Daili (editing or deleting your content, or deleting your account outright); for anything else, email privacy@daili.co.

8. Children's privacy

Daili is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16 (or the higher age of consent that applies where you live). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone below that age; if we learn that we have, we'll delete it.

9. International data transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your information in line with this policy.

10. Security

We rely on industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls restricting who can reach your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we treat this seriously and will tell you if we learn of an incident affecting your account.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Daili evolves — most notably once Daili Intelligence OÜ is registered and once this policy has been reviewed by a lawyer. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know inside the app.

12. Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request about your data? Email privacy@daili.co.
